Elizabeth Leiter, Director/Producer
Elizabeth Leiter is a documentary filmmaker who is drawn to nuanced, thought-provoking, and emotionally resonant stories. She made her directorial debut with Frontline’s The Abortion Divide which explored intimate portraits of women in the midst of decision. Her second film, Jane Goodall: The Hope earned several nominations including an Emmy for Outstanding Nature, a Critics Choice for Best First Documentary Feature and a PGA. She was the series director on Hulu’s Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi, Holiday Edition which won a James Beard Award and was recognized by the Television Academy Honor for inspiring social change. Elizabeth’s producing credits include Peabody-nominated “Rising Against Asian Hate: One Day in March,” for PBS, “Parched,” for National Geographic, and the documentary feature “This is Home: A Refugee Story.”
Colin Nusbaum, Editor
Colin Nusbaum is a film editor and documentary cinematographer who focuses on intimately observed and beautifully crafted stories. Colin’s editing credits include An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, Two Gods, To the Edge of the Sky, and P.O.V. Colin's work has screened at the Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW, HotDocs, Sheffield Doc/Fest, DOCNYC, AFI Docs, and Full Frame.
Greg Henry, Executive Producer
Greg Henry is co-founder and co-president of Lucky 8, a full-service television and film production company based in New York City that creates unscripted content for broadcast and cable networks, as well as streaming platforms. Leveraging roughly 25 years of experience in creating unscripted television and film, Henry’s credits for Lucky 8 include A&E’s long-running and critically acclaimed “60 Days In” franchise and new hit series "Booked: First Day In," the award-winning “Unknown Flag Raiser of Iwo Jima,” and the special “The CIA at 75." Under Lucky 8's banner, Henry executive produced feature documentaries including Showtime’s lauded "Bronx Obama" (2014), as well as "Standing Up," which premiered in 2017 at DOC NYC. Henry was also the executive producer on the Sundance award-winning documentary "The Redemption of General Butt Naked," a writer and director on History’s "The Revolution," and he has produced on various PBS series and long-form documentaries.
Daniel Carter, Director of Photography
Daniel Carter is a Director of Photography working on documentary films and series that challenge and expand the social status quo. Daniel has worked as the director of photography on Emmy-nominated projects including Jane Goodall: The Hope, Golden: The Journey of USA’s Elite Gymnasts, Swiped: Hooking up in The Digital Age and We Are: Brooklyn Saints. His other work includes Boys State (winner of Sundance’s 2020 Grand Jury Prize), The Fight (winner of the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival) Weiner (winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival) and Cartel Land (a winner at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival for Directing and Cinematography, a 2016 Emmy winner for Cinematography, and a 2016 Oscars nominee for Best Documentary).
Kim Woodard, Executive Producer
Kim Woodard is co-founder and co-president of award-winning production company Lucky 8, which creates unscripted content for broadcast and cable networks, as well as streaming platforms. Woodard serves on the board of the Jackson Wild Film Festival and has executive produced many projects for National Geographic including “Jane Goodall: The Hope,” "Extraordinary Birder with Christian Cooper," climate change series “Storm Rising,” and “To Catch a Smuggler,” as well as "Food That Built America" For History Channel. Prior to launching Lucky 8, Woodard founded and ran the New York studio of National Geographic.
